Asigario Turyagyenda
Asigario is of the Mukiga tribe and born in 1983. He speaks English, Swahili a little French and two local dialects Rukiga and KinyaRwanda. With 4 years experience guiding in the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park trekking the Virunga volcanoes of Mt. Muhavura, Mt. Gahinga and Mt. Sabinyio he is excellent company on any walking trail. Further training and guiding has been conducted in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, Lake Mburo, Queen Elizabeth and Murchison Falls National Parks.
Asigario specialises in tree and plant identification and will
impart his knowledge as to their medicinal and practical uses.
He is an enthusiastic bird guide who loves to share time
around the camp fire in the evenings telling traditional stories.
He is a founding member of the Nkuringo Youth Initiative Programme.

Lydia Nandudu
 Lydia is your communications link in Uganda with the Nkuringo Walking Safaris team. Lydia is a former Uganda Government scholarship student of Makerere University a graduate of Social Work and Social Administration passing with an honours degree.
Born in Mbale Eastern Uganda she has excellent english communications skills, speaks Swahili and several local dialects. Lydia has accumulalted extensive local knowledge having worked as a travel guide researcher and continues to do so. Her favourite part of Uganda outside of her home
region of Mbale is the mystique offered by the Virunga volcanoes
of south western Uganda

Irene Oryema
 Irene is our safari coordinator, and comes form the West Nile region of Uganda. Born in 1985 she studied at Makerere University Business School obtaining a Diploma in Business Administration majoring in Marketing.
Having worked with Uganda Wildlife Authority as an Intern in the Tourism Business Department she handled inquires and reservations from clients for the array of products offered by the Wildlife Authority in their protected areas.
With a passion for nature Irene has excellent English
communication skills, and knowledge of Swahili and local dialects
of Luganda and Lugisu.

Robert Brierley
As a professional photographer and safari guide with years of experience in Southern and East Africa including the Indian Ocean Islands Robert has a wealth of knowledge and know how second to none. As a team player it is Robert that will timelessly handle your initial enquiry and prepare a bespoke walking safari itinerary to suit your budget and time frame.
Having had the opportunity to experience what would be for most a life time of adventures across Africa it is Nkuringo that keeps drawing him back time and again to stand in awe of the gallery forest, volcanoes and rift valley.
